A fire broke out in an apartment on the first floor of a five-story building located at Malabia 2167, between Guatemala and Paraguay, in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Firefighters, SAME personnel, and police officers are working at the scene. The fire originated in one of the ground-floor units, and a significant column of smoke affected part of the building, forcing a preventive evacuation to protect residents. According to sources at the scene, 20 to 25 people had to leave the building as fire control and ventilation efforts continued. In parallel, emergency teams were assisting occupants and monitoring for possible smoke inhalation. So far, two patients have been reported, and two police officers who participated in the operation also had to be given oxygen.
